75 years ago in 1946, Minoru Yoneyama founded a manufacturing company in NIIGATA, Japan. In the snow-capped mountains of Tsukayama, with only a woodworking engine by his side, Mr. Minoru started a small but innovative business called Yoneyama Company. Over the years, the company has grown into a global supplier of sporting goods, such as badminton, tennis, table tennis (not anymore), golf and recently running shoes.
In the year 1973, the famous YY logo was introduced, and in 1974, the name of Yoneyama Company officially became Yonex Co., Ltd. Everyone within Yonex will continue to work hard to provide customers around the world with high quality handicrafts and technological innovation to surpass ordinary people.
Decades of success and hardship have shaped the vision and values of craftsmanship and innovation, resulting in the ambition to provide every customer with the best quality and performance promise.
To commemorate this 75th anniversary milestone, Yonex is celebrating its history, innovation and victory moments with a festive product line and a range of digital content that will connect our past experiences with the future.
