The Yonex Astrox 88D Tour is the successor to the well-known Yonex Astrox 88 D rackets. The third-generation Yonex Astrox 88D Tour has a brand new black and silver color. Difference between Astrox 88D PRO and Astrox 88D Tour

The Yonex Astrox 88 S Tour is the cheaper version of the Yonex Astrox 88D PRO. The difference is in the production country. The PRO version is produced in Japan, where the best quality in terms of materials is used. The Astrox 88D Tour is produced by Yonex in Taiwan. This does not mean that the Tour version is bad, but only in a different country with different standards.

Difference between the Astrox 88 D and S

Of course, there is also a Yonex Astrox 88 D version for the more attacking players who are more at the back of the court! The difference between the two Skill and Dominate variant are very subtle, but certainly quite noticeable. The frame of the Skill version is approx 5mm larger and has a larger sweetspot, also the shaft is slightly shorter.

The Volume Cut Resin enhanced material is also visible in the frame and grommets. The frame structure has evolved, resulting in a larger sweetspot, partly due to the powerful reinforced isometric blade shape. The tubes have been placed in better places in the frame and are slightly larger, allowing the strings to move slightly more during impact of the shuttle. The shuttle will therefore be able to be launched with even more power with better balance/control.
