Product details

The highly acclaimed ARCSABER series is now complemented by the Yonex Arcsaber 7 Play. This racket is designed for the novice badminton player who wants to buy a nice racket to start or continue his or her career. It has the looks of a beautiful top model and also has some of the top characteristics. This racket has all-round qualities, due to the flexible shaft and the evenly balanced frame.

Difference between PRO and Play version

The Yonex arcsaber 7 Play looks exactly like the Pro or Tour version, but differs in many ways. First of all, no special materials are used in the Play version, only the standard Graphite. In addition, the PRO version is always produced in Japan and is considered to be of higher quality. The Arcsaber Play variant is produced in Thailand or China, for example. Due to the fact that less expensive materials are used, the racket has a medium flexibility. This makes it more accessible to more badminton players. This is also emphasized by the lower price.

Yonex Arcsaber History

With nearly 15 years of history and stunning performances by world-class athletes such as Taufik Hidayat (INA), the ARCSABER series has a unique position in the Yonex racquet lineup as a series defined by shuttle-hold. In 2007, when the series was first released, the ARCSABER 7 came at a time when repulsion-based rackets were the standard. Today, after years of research and development, shuttle-hold has become a key ingredient in giving an athlete confidence and their shuttle control.

What has been improved with the Yonex Arcsaber 7 Play?

The new ARCSABER 7 has been improved with the development concept of "decisive control." Analysis of the previous model showed potential for improvement by increasing the stability of the frame while extending the shuttle contact time.

Difference between PRO and Play version

The Yonex Arcsaber 7 Play possesses the same features as the PRO version, with a few minor differences. The PRO version is always produced in Japan and this is considered to be a higher quality production. In addition, Yonex does not use the material ULTRA PE FIBER in the Play version. The PRO shaft does contain this material.

Used Yonex technologies

Frame stability has been improved by the new frame structure with a rigid structure at the top and bottom of the face, reducing twisting and unwanted deformation on impact. The new CONTROL-ASSIST BUMPER is a connected grommet piece, which is placed at the top of the frame that contains T-ANCHOR. These are micro-sized tetrapods, which help lock in vertical strings, reducing unwanted string movement and improving accuracy.

To increase shuttle contact time, the sides of the frame, as opposed to the top and bottom, are softer, allowing flexibility around the sweet spot. Also, a new technology, the POCKETING BOOSTER, is incorporated inside the top of the frame. This inner lining is a patented rubberized material that provides additional elasticity to the flex of the frame, increasing both shuttle hold and shuttle launch speed.

Used by world-class badminton players

The new ARCSABER 7 Play will feature hands on Tokyo Olympic gold medalist in mixed doubles, Huang Dong Ping (CHN), Thailand's No. 1 women's doubles Rawinda Prajongjai and Jongkolphan Kititharakul (THA), and many other elite players on Play. Will you take to the badminton court like these players? You can also opt for the cheaper Play of Play version.

Suitable for all-round players

Yonex Arcsaber 7 is the ideal racket for the all-round badminton players who want to keep control over the shuttle, get a lot of feeling out of the racket and combine it with a hard battle.
The frame of the racket is designed to offer the player this combination. Yonex Arcsaber 7 Play is a racket suitable for the advanced badminton player who wants a medium flexible racket with a high repulsion.

The even-balance racket has a racket tray which is suitable for the player who has a lot of power in the arm and wants to place the shuttle exactly and directly.
