Train with purpose using the Yonex Mavis 2000 White Medium
Looking for durable badminton shuttlecocks with a predictable flight? The Yonex Mavis 2000 White Medium combines a nylon skirt with a natural cork base. Yonex developed this model for club players who regularly train and compete with nylon shuttlecocks.
Its flight is designed to resemble that of a feather shuttlecock. This makes the Mavis 2000 appealing if accurate placement matters to you and you prefer playing with synthetic shuttlecocks.
What does Wing Rib do for the Mavis 2000?
Wing Rib technology uses the airflow around the skirt to help stabilise the shuttle after a shot. This design supports a stable flight during varied rallies.
The natural cork base is the contact point for your racket. Together with the nylon skirt, it combines playing feel and durability for regular use.
When should you choose Mavis 2000 Medium?
This white version has a medium speed, identified by the blue tube cap. Yonex recommends this speed for temperatures between 12 and 23 °C. The right choice therefore also depends on the temperature in your sports hall.
The pack contains 6 shuttlecocks. Convenient for training sessions, club nights and matches where nylon shuttlecocks are used.
Should you choose Mavis 2000, 600 or 350?
All three have a nylon skirt and a natural cork base. The main differences lie in their design and positioning within the Mavis series.

Other badminton shuttles
Instead of a nylon badminton shuttle, there are alternatives available that are suitable for other players and/or levels. A nylon shuttle is a sustainable alternative, as they last much longer and are easier to produce. As a result, there is also a clear price difference between the two types. A nylon shuttle is a cheaper and lasts longer. These shuttles are generally used by recreational players and in the competition up to the 6/7th class.
The alternative is the feather shuttle which is also available in different price ranges and for different purposes. A feather shuttle is suitable for the top badminton players and for those who want more feeling and control over the shuttle. If you almost always hit the shuttle well and consistently with your badminton racket, then it is nice to try the difference.
