Victor New Carbonsonic Max – synthetic shuttle with feather feel

The Victor New Carbonsonic Max is the newest model in the Carbonsonic series. These shuttlecocks form a separate category within badminton shuttles. They are often compared to hybrid shuttles but differ because they are fully constructed with artificial feathers and a carbon frame.

The goal? To combine the playing characteristics of real feather shuttlecocks with the price and durability of plastic shuttles.

Innovative carbon construction

The Carbonsonic Max consists of foam feathers (LDPE) attached to an ultra-light carbon frame. The shaft is made of composite carbon fibre, while the feathers are made of aerodynamic synthetic material known for high stiffness and tear resistance.

This results in:

Thanks to advanced computer analysis and hundreds of performance tests, weight distribution is perfectly balanced. The design is patented in multiple countries.

Professional testing shows the shuttle can withstand rallies of over 100 medium to long-distance shots – significantly more durable than traditional feather shuttlecocks.

Upgrade compared to earlier models

The Carbonsonic Max features an additional resin layer at the base of the shaft. This makes the shuttle less prone to deformation. Aerodynamics have also been improved, bringing the flight and feel even closer to a real feather shuttlecock.

Difference: Carbonsonic Max vs Carbonsonic Pro

Within the series, the Victor New Carbonsonic Pro is also available. However, the Carbonsonic Max is the further developed successor to this model. Both shuttlecocks are designed as synthetic alternatives to feather shuttlecocks, but the Max includes clear technical upgrades.

Instead of a Carbon shuttle, there are also alternative ones available, which are suitable for other players and/or levels. A feather shuttle is suitable for the top badminton players and for those who want more feeling and control over the shuttle.

A nylon shuttle is a sustainable alternative, because they last much longer and are easier to produce. Therefore, there is also a clear price difference between the two types. A feather shuttle is a lot more expensive and does not last as long. This also depends on the level of the player that hits the shuttle with his badminton racket.
